We recently drove from Ravello to visit the cemetery only to discover the address and map linked from this entry took us to an industrial estate in the middle of noone where. We did not have internet access to try and find the correct address....More

visited the English Cemetary while visiting Salerno. I was closed when we got there. We opened the gate and took a few pics, as the sprinklers drenched us. The place is immaculate amd very interesting for war buffs.

The Salerno Allied Cemetery is a CWWG / Commonwealth War Graves site which is nicely sited, been grass and maintained very well. Fitting final resting place and monument to those who perished in / after the invasion of the Italian mainland in 1943. ....

You can catch a no 8 bus from outside Salerno railway station,this will take you past the cemetery,which will be on your left and the bus stop is just a little further along the road,also the return bus stop,the buses run every 40 minutes.I hope...More

Visited because my great uncle Edwin Marsh Stockley is buried there. Died of a friendly fire incident on 8th September 1943. The graveyard is beautifully kept as are all those under the wargraves commission.
