The marina on the island of Capri was incredible. There were boats of all sizes coming and going. There were crowds of people everywhere but but it still was enjoyable. We were able to sit by the water under a covered restaurant and drink a...More

We got the ferry over from Sorrento, although you can get it from Naples too, The piccolo itself is nothing out of the ordinary but there is spectacular views as you come in to the island of Capri to dock here. Most other island boat...More

The Marina Grande is an assortment of nice restaurants, stores with tourist paraphernalia and places to rent boats with or without drivers. It is where all the boats servicing the island of Capri arrive and depart

Being the main entry point for boats you expect it to be busy. Just felt super touristy and so crowded. I couldn't wait to get to the beach to escape the crowds.

One of the most crowded places in Italy. Lots of people getting on/off the boats. At least it's rather organized. Otherwise you'll literally step on your toes. Leave as quickly as possibly, as high as possible. Like Anacapri

Sit or walk around the many stores. Watch the boats come in and out of the harbor. Buy souvenirs at many of the shops. Very busy place! The sea air is in your face! Great!

Arrived on a hot, very busy day. No real direction on what to do, ok you can walk around, but if there was some basic signs or the odd wall map to help guide people to the attractions/sites it would make such a difference. Boats...More

We have friends who go from Positano to Capri and back so I'm sure you can do the opposite. I just googled how to rent a boat on Capri and the first site I chose does do private tours including to the Amalfi coast.
