We walked from our hotel at Piazza Bellini and found a very interesting and free tour guide at the cemetery . He was very informative and spoke english(we did have to listen carefully) . A highlight that should not be missed.

This place was well worth the visit! The cavern is enormous and absolutely filled with bones from victims of the plague. Very humbling to visit but with friendly staff; we felt very welcome there. It was a bit of an adventure walking there from the...More

I really enjoyed my visit here. It was very peaceful and interesting to learn about the history. It also felt off the beaten track with a nice walk through some residential areas and street markets.

Enjoyed the walk seeing Naples life on the way there. Free entry. Only us there adding to the crowd less joy. Huge vaulted man made cave. Thousands of bones and skulls mixed with catholic vibe. A visit that stirs an individual internal response and reflection.
