Enjoyed the walk seeing Naples life on the way there. Free entry. Only us there adding to the crowd less joy. Huge vaulted man made cave. Thousands of bones and skulls mixed with catholic vibe. A visit that stirs an individual internal response and reflection.

There are so few places like this in the world. Going through and seeing how this city had to move all of his bones out of the city as it progressed in size over time was amazing. To see how the different classes were placed...More

This site is worth the visit. There is no entrance fee and it will take no more than 30 minutes to see. It is in a residential area near the Spanish Quarter. Our hotel was in the historic quarter and we had a little more...More

Have visited the catacombs in Paris, and this is different in that there is far less artistic arrangement of the bones, far fewer bones, and this site is mostly in the huge cave with natural light still visible. What is amazing is the cult attraction...More

Fontanella cimiterio. Where thousands of bones and skulls were collected and organized after the plague. The bones were washing out of the cemetaries and coming into the city, so they collected them up and put them in tunnel quarries! Worth a trip especially in the...More

Me and my wife visited the cemetery and were amazed at the scale of the place. We had seen a documentary on the cemetery but nothing prepares you! Quite difficult to get to unless you are staying in Naples but well worth a visit if...More

You will certainly do not see two places like this in the world. OK, this is certainly not for everybody, but if you don't have problems with human bones and skulls, you really should not miss this amazing place. Getting there is not that easy....More

Countless number of skulls makes you think the story of those people. Quiet, peaceful place. After busy, tight & messy Naples, this is really a different, interesting place, worth of visiting.
