The Palazzo Reale is a vast building. It is an example of the opulence that only some lucky people had the privilege of enjoying, all those years back, while mere mortals suffered all their lives. Nevertheless it is a stunning place and worth a visit!

It is rare that I give 5 stars to anything but today's visit to the Palazzo Reale deserves it. From the, words fail me, staircase through the rooms and chambers, the sheer opulence and grandeur is overwhelming. The entrance is €4 per person. The audio...More

'The stairs' are probably the best part of it but still its worth going in and see all these rooms and stuff. If you have been in other big palazzo in Italy you won't be suprised and amazed.

The size, style and setting of this Palace is deceptive from the outside. Looking from the outside you don't expect it to be that grand. Happily, once inside you will be impressed! The stairs alone are worth the visit. The size and scale of the...More

This is a large three sided building with a courtyard that leads to a good view of the Castel Nuovo. The staircase and palace is palatial of course, but there is none of the trimmings as with other palaces, such as uniformed guards, like Athens...More

The royal apartments were just our 'cup of tea". SOOOOO interesting. And best of all: not crowded w/school groups or tour groups. A stop here "rounded out' our day. I think we paid 8 euros for the two of us.

I believe that senior discounts to residents of Europe, however the entrance fee is very reasonable, depending on your time their are 2 prices, a tour of the gardens or palace only or a combination of both,

It seems to be closed only on "Wednesday; Christmas, New Year, May 1, August or special opening" (Sorry, but Tripadvisor doesn't let me show website link. You can check it yourself) So, 4/25 should be open.
