We booked this thinking that it would give us an orientation to the city as we began our first visit to Rome . I don't think despite a two day pass we ever completed the advertised circuit of stops . So we never got our orientation . Even if we made the "loop " so to speak it probably wouldn't... More

There are many other less crowded and caddle herded ways to travel Rome. We avoided the hop on hop off bus and used the Metro. But we somehow purchased our Vatican City tour tickets through them. It was AWFUL. That was not fully their fault, the Vatican was much too crowded. But I recommend not using them - they are... More

Great company and very efficient service. We got our bus from Termini and it got us around. Very quick way to cover lots of ground and take pictures. The stops included the Colosseum and Vatican City which we visited as well. Their staff on their bus are very helpful as well. The audio tour guide is helpful, and earphones are... More

We have used this tour company in several cities now. I think it is a good way to get your bearings for a city but it is not a perfect sight seeing solution. We usually do a full circuit without getting off to achieve this first and then we use it as a transport option to tie in with other... More

We booked the 48hr bus pass with skip the line for Colosseum and the Vatican. The buses themselves were great, never had to wait long for one to turn up and on the occasion when the bus was full there was another right behind it. Our only issue was with the skip the line tickets. It is definitely worth getting... More

I have used them in many cities, but in Rome, their service is terrible. Long lines, chaos uploading the bus, insufficient buses. Better choose another tour.

We bought the tickets for the City Sightseeing Rome Hop on, Hop off bus at our hotel - the cost was 28Euro for each - total of 56$ for a 24 hour pass. We left for the day about 11 and since it was just our second day in Rome, we thought the bus would give us a good overview... More

This service was top notch a few years ago, nowadays it is not. They do not meet what they offer, they have no punctuality in their routes, they are just a mess. Staff is rude and not attentive, this is the last time I use their services. They do not honor the children ride for free with each paying adult.... More

The best way to see all the city in a short space of time is by using the hop on hop off bus tours! The bus stopped off at the sights we wanted to see. The map is wasn't the best when trying to find the bus stops as it was a little vague. On the whole a good bus... More

Open top bus tours are a great way to see the major sights and get one's bearings, and we have taken a number in different cities. This hop-on hop-off service offers reasonable value with 8 major bus stops at key points around the city. The route appears to vary with the date and traffic. The traffic in Rome can be... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
