We spent 6 hours with Andrea and 10 other visitors to Rome, first in his kitchen and then in the dining room enjoying a four course feast we'd all helped prepare. I think we all learned something about preparing Italian food and cooking generally, we picked up a few tips in the kitchen and had a thoroughly good time. Andrea... More

. . . you should not miss a class with the very "simpatico" Chef Andrea Consoli. I can only say "ditto" to all the praise other reviewers have expressed. I was so impressed with all the time and work that goes into a class, from shopping, to setting up the dining area, to organizing the kitchen and ingredients. And Chef... More

Fun day preparing and eating a wonderful meal. We all learned a lot even with a range of cooking ability. We got shopping tips for our remaining time in Rome and for things we may be able to buy back home. The wine pairings were a delicious addition.

My title states this is a must without any exaggeration. Andrea was professional, responsive to all our emails and answered any questions we had from the start. We walked to his place in Rome and the location is very central...exceptionally easy to find. His location is welcoming and he greeted us at the door with a big smile - snacks... More

If you're questioning whether to do this cooking class or not, stop-- just do it, you will not regret it. Andrea is so much fun, speaks English very well and has a ton of knowledge about food, beverages, Italian/Roman culture, etc. The class that my sister & I were a part of was a bit bizarre because there were so... This was, by far, the highlight of our trip to Rome. From the moment you step in the door, Chef Andrea welcomes you into his kitchen! The produce that was selected for our meal was fresh and seasonal from the market that morning. We had the opportunity to make stuffed pumpkin blossoms, fresh cavatelli pasta from scratch, Roman chicken and... More

Excellent cooking class! I would 100% recommend it. Usually I don't write reviews but Andrea's cooking class was a highlight on my trip to Rome.

Absolutely loved this day at Andrea's cooking class. He was so helpful, patient and hospitable throughout the whole day and I was so impressed with how organised he made it all be. There was no waiting around or listening to boring instructions - he made it all interesting and relevant. Not to mention the food was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed... More

It's the first time that i write a review BUT we we had such a strong experience with the family and Chef Andrea so i had to share it with you. I strongly recommend to take this cooking class especially if you want to spend quality time with the family.

I must admit, I never leave reviews. I should. I refer to them all the time, which is one of the many reasons I was encouraged to take this class. I was so pleased with my experience, I thought it an injustice not to leave a review about Chef Andrea. I just returned home from my honeymoon in Italy and... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
