Must see! Throw in a coin

Its the Trevi Fountain, you must stop by and throw in a coin. Its a gorgeous work of art and is also fed by an ancient Roman Aqueduct!

The legend of throwing three coins in the Trevi Fountain makes this place become one of most visited tourist attraction, although it can't be denied that the place was quite beautiful. Better come twice if you have time, at day time and night time to see the different beauty. But I love most at night... The area was not too... More

The pictures do not do this place justice. It's a really beautiful fountain, though it does get very crowded.

Didn't really get the hype, located in a strange area and looked out of place. It still remains a must see on a trip to Rome to make your own mind up.

Built 1762 a magnificent sculpture. Came out of Spagna Metro station and there was a small fountain we wondered what the fuss was about but of course this was not it, walk down the hill and it is something that must be seen. Also near by are the Spanish steps to have a look at, and if fit climb the... More

When you look at this fountain it's hard to imagine where the workers even began with its construction. The design is so intricate and the statues are so large but somehow the whole structure flows together as easily as the water it was designed to carry to form a real wonder of engineering. When you stand there and listen to... More

What can you say? another must see in Rome. We visited the fountain both during the day and the night and got some great photos. A very popular attraction but there is tiered seating in front of it allowing all to have a good view. Watch out for selfie sticks.

A place you must see if in Rome. However we went later in the evening and was still very busy. It is beautiful without doubt. Just wish the street sellers would leave you alone.

It's huge! It's fantastic! Lots of people but still you have to take a trip here. Feburary is a nice time to visit. Not so many people and nice weather.

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
