This fountain is unique and a little bit scary: it's in the shape of a grotesque face.

A stop by the Orange Garden (Gardino degli Aranci) has a small car park at the entry, where you find this almost forgotten treasure. Just adjacent is an old pump style fountain where you can drink the freshest water in Rome.

Its a working fountain like many others in Rome but I wouldn't worry too much about seeing it. Its easy to pass if you're walking from Trastevere to Campo di Fiori.

Near the church of Santa Sabina, and at the entrance to the Orange Garden, is this wonderful fountain of a giant, grotesque mask, which spits water into a giant, ancient Roman basin. Well worth a stop to see it (and you can get a drink...More
