Max and Daniele were terrific. We spent two days with them, touring the classic sites in Rome and the surrounding areas. They both have great English skills, are very well informed and fun to be with. They clearly have a passion for their work and it shows! Our experience with them could not have been better.

Max showed us around Rome for the whole day. He was very knowledgeable, knew which sites to see first up and we jumped all the queues. When we return, we will again use Max. He was great.

Seeing Italy and Pompeii through the eyes of Max was an exceptional tour one must not miss. Max shared his love of Italy, his love of Rome and his passion of Pompeii in one day that for us, was worth a lifetime. His conversation, his knowledge and most importantly his persona added great depth and breadth to our visit. This... More

The tour was amazing. Max picked us up right in time in his very clean nice Mercedes. He is full of energy and knows Rome like the back of his hand. We made an early entrance into the Vatican and bypassed any line ,which was amazing. We also bypassed every line for the Colosseum. Max is so knowledgeable and friendly... More

If you want a first-class, personal, memorable tour during your trip to Rome, Max is the tour guide for you. My wife and I were fortunate enough to have Max as our guide for a tour of the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. It felt like a private tour, as he was able to guide us to the Sistine Chapel... Caterina was our guide for our tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica. She had a ready answer for most questions (a nice indication of preparation and experience). She had a well-planned itinerary for our tour with nicely balanced historical detail for *selected* highlights (vs. a lot of detailed information about everything, which can be overwhelming or boring)... We ended our 10 day trip in Rome. We spent 3 days and saw the usual: Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, St Peter's Basilica, Roman Forum and Coliseum, Spanish Steps, Catacombs of Rome, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain etc. we did all of this in lightning speed. We had a guide and driver. So no time spent in lines or looking for parking.... More

Given the chance and i would love to come back and stay longer. We stayed for 2 days and 1 night only because we bought a 12 days europe package tour so time is very limited. So much more to see and explore. We already spent half a day checking out the Vatican city and its a just a quick... More

Four of us booked this tour of Rome with Max. We all loved Max. He really showed us the highlights in one day. There is so much to see and do. It is truly impossible to do it all in a few hours. But Max got us to the places we were most interested in seeing. We spent time at... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
