The haircut I received last week is probably one of the worst I have experienced. I have a very simple cut: medium, straight hair with long layers. After the shampoo, the "stylist" spent no more than 5 minutes combing my hair and then trimming, followed by a 20 minute blow dry. What resulted was choppy, uneven and ragged ends. I... More

Since I met Pasquale @Aveda Hair & Beauty I decided that nobody could touch my hair anymore. And I kept my promise, even if currently I don't live in Rome. The staff is so professional, they have original ideas, they take care of costumers as nobody, helping them in finding their image. I lived in different places worldwide but I... More

I wanted to highlight my hair to a shade of blonde. Instead part of the colour seem not to take and I now have grey high lights. I called to ask if I could fix the parts of my hair where the colour didnt take and the hairdresser told me that s the shade I agreed on. After spending €100... More

My dad and I came here for haircuts last week. I never got the name of the man who cut my hair, but he was fantastic! And Giulia who blow dryed my hair is a hair artist! Super friendly staff and very reasonable prices, too! I most definitely will be coming back for all their services! Plus Aveda products are... More

It was my first time to try hair salon in Rome after hesitating for a few months since I was worried that I only had my hair cut in Asia before. Rather than picking up a random salon I chose to trust the brand Aveda that I know and also tried back in Asia. The experience turns out to be... More

Easy to find for non-Romans, beautiful salon, and great haircuts for both of us. We are planning to make appointments there again when we are next in Rome. Some English speakers, but not all, but very pleasant to deal with.

When in Rome and requiring hair and/or beauty treatments visit AVEDA Hair & Beauty at Via del Teatro Valle. The team are warm, friendly and engaging. The surrounds are modern, contemporary and calming.

Even if you are a huge Aveda fan (like I am), you should stay far away from this salon. The owner is a complete scam artist (and his staff is no better). The price lists have no relation to what you will actually be charged. They will also sneakily perform services that you clearly and repeatedly say you do not... More

I made my appointment by email prior to leaving Australia and received a prompt reply. The salon is well appointed and modern, located in Trastevere close to Vatican, and easy to find. My stylist was an attentive Irishman named Greg, who took the time to discuss my expectations and choose a style that would suit my hairtype, face shape and... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
