You could easily miss this....

A great spectacle of a fountain on each corner which is easily missed. There should be more exposure and signage for this in my hum me opinion.

We walked from Piazza Barberini to Piazza del Quirinale and luckily picked a route which took us to the intersection of via delle Quattro Fontane and via del Quirinale. These four fountains are attached to the corners of the buildings at the intersection of 2 narrow but busy street. Take care when you try to get your photos! Really worth... More

You can not miss these masterpieces, set in a very unusual place. It is on the four angles of the road. Cross road really and it has you stop in my tracks each time I pass by.

Be sure to look out for this intersection while exploring the Rome. The fountains are all so beautiful and make the wait at the intersection an enjoyable one. We passed by many times and they are lit up at night.

It was an amazing discovery. We were just walking and came upon those four fountains. The figures of the four fountains represent the: - River Tiber - symbol of Rome - River Arno - symbol of Florence - Goddess Diana - symbol of Chastity - Goddess Juno - symbol of Strength. When you look along the roads that cross (in... More

We passed this intersection a couple of times while walking too and fro our hotel in via Settembre and Piazza Venezia. The statues at the four corners of the intersection is intriguing. Proof that there is history almost at every step in Rome. Would not recommend that you specifically seek out this attraction but hope that you will be in... More

Where else would you see four fountains on each corner of a very busy and rather small street intersection! We were happy we visited- had to as it was so close to our hotel, but would have been ok if we missed it. An interesting experience - taking photos between the many tour buses that whizzed by as their passengers... More

In the olden days when there was not as much traffic, there would have been more space to admire the way Borromini fitted in a small church and four fountains at the first crossroads out of town from what was the Pope`s summer residence at the Quirinale. Lovingly restored last year, the roar of traffic and the crowds trying to... More

Its really a weird but nice place. I believe this was a great square with a fountain at its centre before the roads cross this place. There is a nice view of the place from far away and nice view from this place to other place of rome

You will most likely discover this by chance, but is it is a lovely sight to view the four detailed fountains on the four corners of this narrow intersection. Don’t miss the Baroque church around the corner – we missed it and will have to go back! Apparently beautiful and not the norm. Enjoy Roma!

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
