I really enjoyed this museum, it had a nice collection of Chinese and Iranian art and some beautiful ceilings. It was also a good chance to escape the crowds at some of the busier sights for an hour or more.

Small and quiet museum with an interesting collection of oriental art, mostly Hindu, Arabic and Chinese. I liked the most very nice sculptures of Budda. Unfortunately no Japanese art there.

The exhibits are not the most spectacular that you can find, but still very interesting. Unfortunately, most of the descriptions and information is in Italian only, so keep that in mind. What I really loved about this museum is the presentation- it gives just about...More

There's so much talk of "globilization" now as if the East,Near and Far, had just been discovered by Italians. A visit to this rather small and, unfortunately obscure, museum in the center of Rome should clear up this impression immediately! Italians have always been explorers, for curiosity,for...More

The collection is average at best, However, it is displayed terribly in dreadful glass cabinets with yellow lighting and reflections all over. Furthermore, many cabinets and even some room were not lit. I would seriously recommend skipping this museum. Five minutes in Borghese is worth...More

The highlight of this small museum is its wonderful collection of Gandharan sculptures culled from some early Italian excavations in central Asia. Anyone interested in early Buddhist art when it was influenced by Central Asian (primarily Kushan) and Greek art should not miss this small...More

This almost empty museum was walking distance from our hotel so we went in. They have a decent collection of Iranian art as well as artifacts and pieces from other places. The Roma Card got us in without an entrance fee. This place is good...More

6 Euros and 10 minutes later I arrived back at the entrance/exit. Convinced I had gone wrong I set off in search of the elusive treasures of the orient that I had missed. I was back at the exit 5 minutes later realising I hadn't...More

The art was great. Panels also in English, but the font rather small. Tucci was an important explorer and he and his wife put together significant collections of Asian art.
