Immense park of uncontaminated beauty. Excellent for long walks and for nature lovers. In the northern area there is a beautiful lake. You can find both large green lawns and long paths for walking, as well as wellness paths and various play areas for children. A great green lung for our city, with everyone's care and respect! Parking is difficult, but with many possible access points.

I decided to walk through Villa Ada to get to the Catacombes di Priscilla. Took about 20-25 minutes and on a lovely sunny day, it was a little oasis away from Rome. The park is walled, so you can only enter at certain spots. I entered at Via Panama and walked clockwise to then exit about halfway along Via Salaria. The lake and grassed areas at the north of the park are lovely and full of locals playing football and jogging. The actual Villa Ada seemed to have been converted into an equestrian country club, so it wasn't really work walking into the middle to see it.

Want to get away from the madhouse of the tourist areas of Rome? Grab a blanket, bottle of wine, some bread and cheese, and head to Villa Ada.
This locals only park is a great way to enjoy a lovely afternoon in Rome. Just sit back, relax, read a book, people watch, or catch a nap under a shade tree.
You will not find many, if any, tourists in the area. No public transportation in the area, so plan accordingly.
My suggestion, take the tram to Gelateria Salaria Gelato d'Autore, have the best gelato of your life, then walk the rest of the way to the park!

Don't go there! You will feel like sheep grazing!
We found ourselves in a poorly maintained and completely dusty arid dirt ground. After about 15 minutes from the beginning of the concert, we were forced to leave because of the dust that had risen and prevented us from breathing. Not to mention the clothes and shoes of how they were reduced.
We immediately requested a refund to the staff present and the same Manager aware and approving the inconvenience pushed us to make a request to Ticketone (which obviously turned the ball over to the organization Bass Culture srl ).
Honestly we felt treated like a flock of sheep grazing! And this treatment at 50 we do not admit. We ask you to include, in the detail of the location, the faithful description so that users are informed and free to choose before making the purchase!
Ah important... the organizer of the event Bass Culture srl rejected the request for a refund!

After some days of an extenuating visit of the amazing Rome and its ancient ruins, I was a bit tired of the huge crowds of people and tourists, the traffic and the noise, and in urgent need of some air and peace. This Villa was more than what I expected, we basically spent the whole day there. We paired it with the visit to the catacombs and from there we went for a walk, took pictures, relaxed, played at the jungle gym (the games where we could fit), ate something, rented a bicycle to explore it more because its huge!. Next time I'm in Rome I'll look for an accommodation nearby so I can go for my daily run there!

Want to get away from the madhouse of the tourist areas of Rome? Head to Villa Ada for a picnic.
This park is a great way to enjoy a lovely afternoon in Rome. Just sit back, relax, read a book, people watch, or catch a nap under a shade tree.

My suggestion, take the tram to via Regina Margherita, Gelateria Salaria Gelato d'Autore, have the best gelato of your life, then walk the rest of the way to the park!
Villa Ada is also excellent for jogging, training (in the forest by the creek goimg towards the big lake there are several machines you can use), biking, riding (there is one of the best horse riding facility in Rome) and playing for kids with at least three playgrounds.
if you walk towards the end you can get out just in front of Catacambe di Priscilla that are also very much worth a visit.
In the whole park there is only one bar. They have good smoothies. if you are hungry and are not equipped for a picnic you can get out, go to via di Filomarino and have an excellent lunch at Locanda di Filomarino.

A very large park with a lake and lots of lawns.
Possible to rent a bike by the hour.
It's very pleasant to take a stroll and relax on the many scattered benches.

We had a lovely couple of hours wandering around the park on my last day of visiting my girlfriend who lives in Rome.
There is a great mix of open areas and wooded trails with hills to raise the heart rate. If you want an alternative to or running bike hire is available.
There is plenty of birdlife and plant life around and one of the ponds is home to a large number of turtles.

Villa Ada is a beautiful natural reserve in the north part of Rome. It has many entrances and each side offers something different. There is a big lake on the north east side by via salaria and many running paths. I personally like going deep into the park for hiking rather than running. The hiking in villa Ada is actually quite easy, the incline isnt as steep as I would like, but the nature is breathtaking, especially on a bright and sunny day. Good location for picnics or a romantic date as well as recreational activities.

This park is one of the green lungs of Roma: is maybe the biggest, but in my opinion it's also cleanest and the most suggestive.
Great for jogging and bike riding.

Written 29 August 2023

Written 11 May 2017
Written 12 May 2017
Written 10 May 2017
Written 10 May 2017
