We went to a wine dinner at the Hotel Columbus which is a few steps from the Vatican! The room was beautiful with a 16th century fresco on the ceiling and several beautiful painting on the wall. We loved hearing the history of the venue. Then came the wines, 9 in total from various parts of Italy. I loved the... More

I booked this for my partners birthday April 2 years ago as a surprise, which luckily coincided with Alessandro' birthday. It is a night we vividly remember and still talk about. We had a relaxed tasting, where he told us his proposed structure, asked if we had any preferences and were treated to some excellent wines, red white, and champagne... More

Alessandro welcomed us to the amazing Sala Salviati of the Columbus Hotel just steps from St. Peter's. Before serving each of the 8 featured wines of the evening, Alessandro gave a lesson on how to personally evaluate each and encouraged everyone to reach their own conclusions. We sampled three white wines, four red wines, and a dessert wine. Each was... More

This was recommended to us by friends and I'm glad I decided to make reservations. The two sommeliers who conducted our tasting were knowledgeable and engaging, if occasionally hard to understand. The tasting took place at the Hotel Columbus which was lovely. It was in teresting to experience wines paired with different foods . The little bites were most delicious... More

Recommended by our team-mate to arrange an interesting wine tasting/pairing evening when we were in Rome last week. The place is gorgeous, it's located inside Hotel Columbus which is near to Vatican. It was really impressive and interesting. The 'facilitator' explained very well on each kind of wine and how to match with the cheese or the food that served... More

We were a group of eight people who had made a reservation for winetasting at Roscioli ( in their place near Piazza Navona). It was really interesting - our wines were presented very professionally along with nice food-tastings. We learned about the different regions and grapes - we really did have a good time! We would recommend it to all... More

I was in Rome for four months and I went here four times. Each night I spent here is one of my favorite memories from my time in Italy. Perfect food, perfect wine, and really fun and intelligent people leading your tasting experience.
