Recently my wife and I, and our son and his wife, completed nine fabulous days in Italy arranged by Rome Private Guides. Nine months ago, after reviewing their website and video, we contacted Ivana, who thoughtfully put together the perfect itinerary to match our needs. We flew to Venice and took the train to Florence and, lastly, Rome. Ivana arranged... More

Highlight of our trip. Our guide was Grace, ask for her you will not be sorry. There were four of us, two adults and kids in their twenties. She made it interesting and engaging for all of us. Made you excited to be there.

If you want a true private experience, then this is the place. Booking was made easy, follow up was great. We were so lucky to have Dario, our driver, and Matteo, our private guide (ASK FOR HIM). They guys made this trip one the best I have ever had. We ate at a local favorite pizza place that Dario hangs... More

From our first experience with Dario, our driver to the moment we unfortunately had to depart their company - every moment was spectacular. Matteo, our guide, not only was extremely knowledgeable but his passion was visible and you felt his love of history. Rome is not the place to skimp, a few extra dollars is an investment that you will... More

We had a great time on our private tour or the Roman coliseum and the roman forum. Our tour guide taught us so much about both these sites that I feel like we need to take it again. She spoke great English! We would recommend this tour to our family and friends and will book RPG tour again!

We took both the Colosseum underground tour & the Vatican early morning tour. We met their rep Ziafat outside the Colosseum on our first day. He gave us so much information about what the tours offer, the city & the restaurants surrounding us. He was extremely helpful & we are so happy we met him! These tours were the highlight... More

I couldn't recommend this company highly enough. We had the kid-friendly family tour of the Vatican. Although our tour stated about three hours, it didn't feel so because our tour guide Chiara was very good and very knowledgeable. She told us a lot of interesting facts, which made the tour enjoyable. The fact that the tour we booked was private,... More

We had two tours, 4 hours each, with RomePrivateGuides. Both Chiara and Valentina did an excellent job as tour guides. We learned so many things about Rome and Italy and saw great sites. They were both so friendly and personable and the driver was also great! It was wonderful to have time and be able to ask specific questions, that... More

Dennis was our guide for this 3.5 hour tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. He was excellent. Very informative without overloading you with information - and he always had time for questions as we walked around. The visit skipped the entry line and we were inside in just a few minutes. We walked through the gate the... More

Ellie with RPG arranged a 12 day tour of Italy for the four of us. She handled every detail from transfers to hotels to trains, etc. In Rome, Florence, Venice, and Naples, we had excellent guides and drivers. They were always on time and very solicitous to our physical limitations and our desires. The guides brought each tour to life... More

Staying in Flaminio

Neighbourhood Profile
Flaminio
The Flaminio area has been making a name for itself as a hub for contemporary architecture and art. Over the past decade, Flamino’s grassy knolls have seen the rise of cultural centres - amazing feats of architecture like the beautiful Ponte della Musica, the wavy contemporary art MAXXI Museum, and the futuristic Parco della Musica, a music complex where international names perform. Flaminio also has traces of the 1960 Olympic Games with Palazzetto dello Sport and Villagio Olimpico, the athlete’s Olympic village turned residential housing. If culture means a ball and a foot, keep your eye on the prize: Rome’s famed Stadio Olimpico football stadium is just a short walk across a bridge.
