Small designer outlet shop on two floors very close to the Basilica of St John Lateran (Rome's Cathedral). If you find your way to Piazza di San Giovanni in Laterano, 4, Roma, Italy where the cathedral is, Teichner is a 5 minute walk down the hill on Via Appia Nuova. It is a 7Euro taxi fare from Piazza Navona. The staff weren't snooty but they did have extremely limited English skills, which is OK because you are in Italy and I have extremely limited Italian skills. From the look of the store I would assume that this is because Teichner is not really on the tourist shopping destination list, unlike the larger department stores and is mainly shopped in by Italians. So, if you are prepared to browse without effusive gushing service, know your European sizes, you will probably find a bargain (in terms of designer pricing). They had Armani Jeans, Red Valentino, Cavalli, Missoni and a large number of other designers that I wasn't so familiar with the day I went. I got a gorgeous Missoni dress for 170Euro. They took international credit cards. There is also a good Coin Department Store right across the road from it that has an excellent Ladies wear section on the second floor with much wider range and cheaper designs (e.g. a Desigual Dress for 49 Euro) (e.g. a bit like Macy's but on a smaller scale). The Coins in Italy vary quite considerably in quality and size but this was the best one I saw.…
