Land of the GIANTS

Every every thing says that all men in ancient Rome were Giants from walls , rooms to Baths .I liked the gardens and the calm in this area more than terme ruins .

Sulfur baths, quit modern and clean. Can be reached by train from Rome. Has multiple baths outside and indoorpools aswell.

Of course the pools will smell like sulpher. In August you'd think the pools would be warmer. They were icy cold! Appointments were easy to make for treatments. My 7 year old son enjoyed the pools and the breathing treatment.

I was traveling with 2 Italian friends and we thought we would try this Terme: mistake. Just don't go. The deal is here, that this used to be run by the city: and it was run in a better manner, but you know, with personale on payroll so to speak like many public institutions, if you know what I mean.... More

It is rare that I write a negative review - generally only if I feel someplace it being deceptive or neglectful. I'm not saying they was purposely deceitful but this place was a serious rip off! The Roman Empire was so far ahead of its time when it came to hygiene and health. Wouldn't it be wonderful to go back in time and experience a day at the Roman baths.

We booked an offer comprising of on night at the Victoria Terme Hotel, and two daily entrances to the thermae with one day of spa. Let's start from the SPA by admittting I'm no big fan of hot, humid places. The SPA has all you may want: sauna, turkish bath, two aroma-therapy showers (mint and orange), a big hydromassage pool...
