We went on Sunday at 12 noon in order to see the Pope give a blessing from his balcony. It was an amazing and emotional experience. I sometimes enjoy looking at the external beauty of a famous place. Wonderful column designs. The stage and set up for the mass and the cordons for the lines were not attractive but what can we do?

Absolutely marvellous square, the architecture is very impressive. Don't start talking with the people selling tours in Vatican and enjoy the square!

With a chance of seeing the pope up close if you attend a Wednesday papal audience. Unbelievable architecture, history, and people/pope watching here.

Stunning. Although as I mentioned in another review, the amount of homeless and poverty-stricken people directly outside is shocking. You go from incredible amounts of wealth to people sleeping on the streets right outside? I don't know, it makes you think twice. However still a must visit.

Beautiful and very tranquil area. We visited at night so it was not crowded. Plenty to do around the area. Beautiful and breathtaking. Worth the visit

Knowing, that here history had been made it by most of the important people in the world give us a sense of smallness compared to where your feet are stepping. Here you can perceive, sense it that time will never pass.

It looks bigger in Tv, simple as that and there is nothing more over there. The basilic looks bigger from far perspective.
