Once inside St. Peter's, turn to the right and the statue is right there. It is behind glass and no way you will be able to get close with all the crowds. And still a stunning site!

We saw David in Florence, which is a masterpiece- but this is his first and greatest masterpiece. Incredible that he carved this. Extraordinary!

When you enter St Peters you will see a crowd off to the right of the entrance. That would be where Michelangelo’s Pieta is located. It is behind glass but be patient and the crowd moves by rather quickly. You can then get a photo...More
