It is always good to see the history of a city - and this arch demonstrates its importance to the Roman Empire! (PS - the guns are from WW1)

As part of our trip to Ancona went and saw the Arco di Traiano, problem is if you sneeze you miss it. Thought it was going to be big and on its own but found it to underwhelming and squeezed among modern ramps and ferry...More

I liked this arch and I saw it during my first trip to Ancona. The location is nice and it catches your attention and it is a nice piece of architecture..no wonder, we're in Italy. I recommend it to all visitors in Ancona.

The walk along the old walls is interesting and the view of the town and Cathedral is really good. The Arch of Trajan is in very good contìdition and should not be missed. If you are in the harbour it is just a short walk.
