strolling along the Vile de la Vittoria form the monumento to Piazza Cavour and further to Piazza Roma, pedestria Garibaldi thorough fare you traverse a town that is often neglected and left to the port facilities. The views from the monumento on to the Adriatic element, the elevation, the buildings and the long stroll through the main urban axis is unforgettable, revealing, enriching and the monuments and residential and public buildings of scenic value espacially until the evening twilight, to be completed.

This is a must see place in Ancona, with its steps down to the beach. Easy to find from the Town Centre, well worth a visit.

Nice and meaningful Monument. Cleaned and well taken care of. During the day and also at night it's the thing that stands out the most.

Beautiful church on a Hill looking over the harbour of ancona. Where lovely streets brings you the smelt of pizza’s baked in oven. Some good cappuccino or macchiato outside on many terracces in the sun.

The monument itself is impressive and meaningful. Since we knew we would be visiting, we decided to spend a little time in the area with a picnic lunch down by the water. Not a bad way to spend a little more than an hour...

The monument is at the end of a long boulevard and the boulevard is worth walking, taking in the boun passiagiata. An interesting monument is interesting on its own and below the beach

If you visit Ancona you shouldn't miss a visit to this stunning monument and take a walk down the staircase to the sea and along the beach to the fishermen's caves. Really worth visiting. There is also a lovely alley connecting the monument with the centre of Ancona. Perhaps a 30 minute walk lined with nice houses, restaurants, cafe's and covered by trees.

A beautiful end to a long walk up the main street enhanced by trees providing welcome shade from the sun and in our case later, the rain! The monument is stunning and you can get some great photographic shots. The double staircase leading down to the beach is impressive and is from the 1930s. Well worth the steps. The beach is worth a visit albeit pebbles.
