What a fabulous place. The coats of arms from past students turned it into an art gallery. Free to get into and wander at leisure. Really enjoyed our visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the library at the Bologna university. A local high school student guided us through the library (Adrianne) and she was fantastic. Definitely worth a visit!

My alma mater. So I may be little biased but you can't argue that the library where people like Dante and Copernicus passed by could be the most beautiful in the world. Don't miss this. Seriously

This library is very impressive with its wood panelling, quaint fixtures and chairs. It has a lot of atmosphere and is well worth a visit.

Once you are there, you'll provided with a free guider, who tells you the history of the library and shows you its rooms. The place is worth visiting.

If you have the time, this is worth a visit! We included this visit after touring the cathedrals, which and the piazza, which can easily be done, along with some excellent shopping!

A real gem and not really touristic. You can just walk in and get a look. It is a stunning old library that left me speechless. Awesome!

I do not know whether there are tours: A friend took me there, showing the university of Bologna. For sure there you can find the secretary which can answer to your questions.

You need a guide. If you are able to prevail upon their kindness, you have a good shot.
