One reason we chose Bologna was for its easy access to many other cities by rail. We even chose a vacation rental within a few minutes walk to this centrally located station. It is easily accessible by bus, too. It is manageably laid out and...More

Bologna has excellent rail connections giving easy and regular access to local towns and cities across the region. Short trips to say Modena or Ravenna are easily achievable at a very reasonable cost. Staff are happy to help to guide you through automated ticket purchase...More

We were dropped off by our cab driver who did tell us where to go, however the place is a maze. And as such we were picked up by a helpful person who was insistent on helping us find where we were going, etc., despite...More

If you arrive at the underground station it is a lot of luck to get to the above ground one. It is an nice maze sometimes without signage and with the traveller left to figure out its way

On entrance look for the small ticket dispenser outside the glass entrance to where you buy tickets in the manned kiosk. It's a bit like when you take a ticket in the supermarket first buying cheese or meat from the counter. Dispense yourself a paper...More

Pretty modern and easy to get around. Much less hectic thank the larger cities. Tons of graffiti coming into the station though.

Modern but built in sympathy with old Bologna. Trains are clean and timekeeping exemplary.. The signs are clear and informative for non Italian speakers.

As Italian railway stations go, this one is decent. Chaotic like most, this one is more or less better organized with all access at the same level. There are a few shops inside and the layout is properly done. 2 entrances.

The station is kept under strict control. It's not yet a retail shopping area but it's improving with the new openings of Kiko, Mac cosmetics and of the Vyta bar

(Italiano) Buon posto per viaggiare tra le citta' e' un buon bar al lato. C'e' anche un servizio bus tra la stazione e l'aeroporto, molto utile. (English) Good place for travelling between other cities in Italy, plus there's a nice cafe' to the side. There's...More

We will be coming in to Bologna Centrale from Verona on our way to Vernazza. We would like to take the bus to Sant'Agata Bolognese to visit the Lamborghini museum and factory. Does anyone know how to find the bus schedule for this bus (Bus 576 from Bologna Autostazione, direction Crevalcore)? Also, I am having trouble finding the hours of the Bologna Centrale luggage storage. Many thanks in advance!

We need to get from train station to airport as quickly as possible. It seems as though taxi is the way to go. Are there always some waiting out front and available to go?
