The service leaves a lot to be desired.
It took over 1 hour to get the main course and 30 minutes foe the appetizer.
Food was average.

If you didn’t know then you’d easily walk straight past this spot, and although as an “attraction” its pretty underwhelming it’s well worth passing by to get a unique view of the famous waterways. A hotspot for photographers, and I’m not sure I ever understood the significance of the small door and padlocks, but peeping through the small hole felt like glimpsing back in time and was well worth the small detour I took.

Finestrella means window in Italian, and that is exactly what it is. A window through which you can see what is called a canal, but appeared to me to more of a brook. Most of these canals/brooks are no longer visible, as in other cities, such as London, but they were used, apparently for the transportation of goods in time gone by. It presents a good opportunity to take an interesting photograph. The brook was fast flowing when I was there, but from some of the reviews here it seems that during the summer months it dries up. On the other side of the bridge there is no wall and you can see the brook as it makes its way between the houses.

A very pretty place for photos in central Bologna. Makes you feel like you are in Venice. There were quite a lot of people taking photos.

I wasn’t expecting much, but since I was passing thought I’d take a quick look and get a photo of the ‘canal’. Except there IS no canal- see photo, nothing there. Disappointing.

Worth a stop if you're in the area. There's a small "window" in the wall through which you can get nice photos of the water running in a canal through typical Italian looking buildings. Hopefully there's water in it when you visit!

It's too bad that the view through this portal has been ruined by a political sign, and a protective covering over one the of the buildings.

An unexpected experience in Bologna city center. Worth the visit since it is located very close to Piazza Maggiore.
