The structure of this Cathedral is quite particular (it looks like a temple). Inside is more similar to a regular church with a lot of interesting sculptures.

Ever since seeing a photograph of the relief of Mercury I have wanted to visit this place. Inspired by Isotte, conceived by Sigismondo, their conjoined initials throughout the building, there is far more here than a cathedral graced by a gentle Giotto crucifixion. Mercury is...More

This Cathedral is not spectacular from the point of view of the external view but what I find amazing is that it is just an almost intact converted Roman temple. In white marble and full of old Roman details

As with many Italian churches the outside is pretty plain but inside there is plenty of interest (if you like old churches - which I do). Cute little carvings of cherubs and would you believe elephants decorate the inside, it is worth a visit.

This is close to the centre and the interior of the church is nice and it is free to visit. One of the must see churches in Rimini.
