After travelling through Croatia, we’ve come to expect ‘beaches’ on the rocks, and this beach definitely delivered. The water was warm, the access to the water was easy and if you want shade or a beverge, both are available.

We walked the way back from Miramare to Trieste - it takes a good two hours, but on a Sunday the promenade is buzzing with life, places for coffee or aperol spritz and small restaurants to eat smaller or larger dishes. If the walk gets...More

Very nice for a relaxing walk along the coast. It's a long way including some shady and tree area with kids playgrounds and benches. Very relaxing!

Nice seaside walk, about 2 km long. Along the way there are a lot of box bars serving excellent coffee.

A pleasant walk by the sea, in the summertime suitable for swimming, in the autumn and in the winter for a walk along the sunny coast.

This promenade goes for a couple or so kilometres from the outskirts of Trieste to the Castello Miramar. The whole of it contains areas to sunbathe, places to get into the sea to swim and many spots to eat and drink. The heartbeat of Trieste.

Barcola is a long paved walkway leading up to Castello Miramare. This is truly the heart and lung of Trieste for the locals. Beautiful view over the sea, great sunset. No sandy beach but more like a rocky beach where you can get into the...More

Barcola is a strip of cement where the locals like to sunbathe with a big book in their hands. It's a very proletariat type of beach and gives you a sense of the locals. Nice.
