This historic opera house is beautiful. My wife and I saw La Traviata there and it was outstanding. The orchestra was very good.

From great operas to music concerts, they all happen here. It does not cost the earth either, like back in Melbourne. Worth a look for something different

Lovely theatre and wonderful performance of Lucia di Lammermoor. Had seats in Row 6 of stalls and by UK standards prices reasonable.

its enthusiastic relationship with the operagoing public. Try to get a good seat; in a town of opera-lovers they sell out quickly.

Very close to the main square Piazza Unità, Teatro Verdi was built according to the project of Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Opposite to its entrance beautiful, just refurbished Gallery with the atmosphere of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

This lovely period opera house puts on a full programme of operas and concerts. We saw a very good production, easily as good as anything you could see in a provincial UK opera house.
