Piran is a small city at Slovenian coast. It is beautiful small city with clean sea water. We simply loved it. A lot of small restaurants at a coast and from them you can just jump into the sea.

Loved walking around the old town. Definitely feels lived in and not touristy. Nighttime is kind of magical and although small you can get lost.

It was alright. Nothing amazing to really look at and because the city is pretty spread out you'll walk a long ways for not a huge reward.

Trieste is interesting port and vivid city of 18. and 19. century. Older part, mainly around the cathedral (Sv. Just, San Giusto) and near the antique Roman theatre is not real tourist attraction. It is good for lonely strollers. Some new signs for orientation can...More

The Old Town is a great place to just wonder around the narrow streets taking in the buildings and is great for people watching too. Lots of antique stores, shops, restaurants and bars to visit.

The old city of Trieste is very different from the Austrian-Hungarian part of the city. This part is older with narrow, cobbled and winding streets. Some streets/stairs climb up the hill - not difficult to walk. Lots of interesting buildings, churches, amphitheater and so on....More
