It was such a relief to not have to study maps due to trail closures, and have our own guide who got us away from all the tourists. Although the first two trails the tourists frequent were closed, Birgit took us to the upper trails. We hiked goat paths, through vineyards, and she showed us so much and explained the... More

My husband and I enjoyed a great hike with Pall in the Cinque Terre on our recent trip to Italy. Our trek started in Riomaggiore. We hiked through the hills up to Volastra where we had a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant and then hiked back down into Manarola. Pall knows the trails well and took us on trails... More

My wife and I just came back from our first visit to Cinque Terre. We decided to hire a guide to take us on a day hike starting from Riomaggiore. Pall our guide and owner created a fabulous experience for us taking us on an all day hike and visits to several other towns. He took us off the crowded... More

I was so excited for this trek and it didn't disappoint, in fact it exceeded all of my expectations. My guide Birgit (and Pall) knew every little nook and cranny in the region, as well as all of the locals. The beautiful views were matched with a detailed education of the area and it was great to see how generous... More

Thank you so much for your glowing review. We try hard to ensure that everyone booking with us is happy and pleased at the end of their day. We want people to come and learn about this special area of the world. To try and do this on your own or follow a guide book is almost impossible. Your discovery... More

Pall, our guide and owner, is an expat who has lived here for more than twenty years. The hike was long and wound its way through the hills above Cinque Terre. Pall will make sure you're prepared. He showed us history, beauty, and culture. When you've had enough of the huge crowds, let Pall show you the real Cinque Terre.... More

The day-long experience hiking along the hills of Cinque Terre with Pall was one of the highlights of our 2-week Italy trip. Pall took us above the popular hiking trails so that we were able to enjoy the environment and the amazing views without dealing with the large crowds that flock to the main routes. He gave us multiple ways... More

Do this tour! My wife and I booked this tour for our first day in Cinque Terre. Prior to our arrival in Cinque Terre, our guide and Trekguyd owner Pall, emailed us very good instructions on what to bring on the hike and how and where to meet him in Riomaggiore. The tour started in town, then slowly started up... More

Pall (Trekguyd--pronounced like the name Paul) was recommended to us by an old high high school acquaintance and it was the best recommendation we ever could have received. Pall, an American living in Cinque Terre is best described as the self appointed (and elected) Mayor of the area. He knows just about everyone and has a firm grasp of the... More

...this trek was so worth it. Five and a half miles up and 1,200 steps down (give or take). With a marvelous lunch before the descent. The views were incredible with great photo ops practically every 10 steps. Pall was a lot of fun. A bit gruff in his opinions maybe but his stories were entertaining and informative. He took... My mother and I trekked with Pall over the course of a day. It was a wonderful way to see the Cinque Terre away from the crowds. I can't say enough good things about Pall. His communication with me from our initial conversation until just before our meeting was above and beyond. He made sure we were able to get... More
