Beautiful
Jul 2020
Vernazza is beyond beautiful and charming. The Cinque Terre area is a must when in Italy. One of the places to see in your life.
The coastal drive is quite the adventure if you have your own four wheels. The Amalfi Coastal Road is easy compared to this. But it's well worth the drive. Great views. You will have to park your car outside of town. There's a free shuttle bringing you down to the village.

If you do the Cinque Terre by train, then there's good news. The train station is right at the center of town.

This village here offers a lot. Countless shops and restaurants. Colourful buildings everywhere and a really nice piazza and small port at the end of town. Buildings and churches with character and good food (from Anchovies to Gelato). It's fun to just wander around the village. Besides Manarola (on par) the nicest of the five towns of Cinque Terre. Loved it.

Charming Mediterranean village
Aug 2020 • Couples
What an amazing time we had in Conque Terre! Vernazza with its natural harbor impacted me very positive! Walking through narrow streets sit next to the sea and seeing people passing by eating a gelato! The village is located in stunning nature of Cinque Terre national park with amazing hikes in both directions to Monterosso (1,5 h) and Corniglia (1,5h) walking distance vía the cliff.

Amazing village - perfect for what we wanted and needed
Sep 2020
A couple who came for the views, hiking and food - very happy we stayed here! We found it to be one of the lesser busy villages with the better restaurants.
The hiking trails were only open from Corniglia to Monterosso - not open between Riomaggiore and Corniglia so Vernazza was a great in between!
The hikes between the villages were lovely but would highly recommend the hike from Levanto to Monterosso - the views were out of this world and we passed very few other hikers which was a nice difference than the Cinque Terre hikes.
We went beginning of September so during COVID times and generally a less busy month for tourism but it was still busy. We were told a few times by locals that Cinque Terre was only 10% of their usual business so we are extremely happy we came when it was quieter!!

Our Favorite Stop!
Sep 2020
Vernazza was our absolute favorite stop in Cinque Terre. The beautiful beach and views, the tasty beverages, the cute shops. Wish we could have spent more time there!

Very crowded
Aug 2020 • Family
We went there by train with a buggy. That was okay. It was still corona-time but very, very crowded and touristic. The town is nothing special. Very similar to the other cinque terre towns. The buildings were already old. Maybe good to see 1 time, but not more. No enjoyment with that much people on a that small place.

Wonderful area
Aug 2020 • Solo
The 5 villages are a great area line many in Licuria. Great food, nice wine, the sea is clesr and beautiful, a wonderful place. No sand beaches as the mountains just drop into the sea. So you lay on a huge rock and go swimming. Take a boat trip out for snorkelling, swimming, watching the other cities, all in a great area and your own time....

Great tiny town in Cinque Terre!
Aug 2019 • Family
Vernazza is one of the five towns located in Cinque Terre (Five Lands, in English) National Park, in La Spezia, in the North of Italy. The other four towns are: Riomaggiore, Monterosso al Mare, Manarola and Corniglia. Vernazza is one of the most beautiful towns. It is so tiny and it has a main street full of old buildings, bars, restaurants and shops, it is very nice. Also, this main street finish (or begin) in the wonderful port, from where you can see great views of the sea and the same port. Also, here you can visit Doria Castle and some churches. Charming town.

Possibly the best town of the Cinque Terre
Jun 2019
This small town has it all, a beach, coastal views, narrow lanes, and lots of restaurants and, most importantly, good gelato! Go for the views, stay for the gelato!

Colorful
Nov 2019
This is one of the most crowded village in the park, probably because of the stunning view. It was just a short walk from the train station down to the harbor where you could see the crashing waves and colorful buildings. It was windy and cold when we visited in November.
