It was a little bit of a climb to reach this beautiful little church but it was well worth the effort. The views from the church of Portofino are lovley ad the church itself a quiet peaceful place to mediate for a few minutes. Catch the ferry and enjoy this beautiful village in the Italian Riveria.

For the most extraordinary views of Portofino and the ocean surrounding it, a relatively easy walk up a paved pathway, could be accessed by pram or wheel chair if required. We were visiting on a cool autumn day, still beautiful. Check out the side of the church which has many dedications to the past people who are recognized by their... More

Don't be put off by the simple exterior. When we entered the church we were surprised to see such a display of wealth.

A most beautiful church at Portofino village. You need to climb many steps to get there but we were glad we did it.

A typical church but with excellent views on the outside. If you are lucky to get a ceremonial, a wedding for instance, it will be very interesting then. More probable on Saturdays and Sundays of course.

When you get off the boat don't just head for the shops and cafes with the rest of the crowds, turn left and climb the hill up to the church. It's about a 10-15 minute walk and is well worth it for the church and views from the top.

Very nice area of Portofino, with the church being the center of attention. Worth seeing. But if you are in Portofino, you are kinda in paradise anyways.

It is about a 10 minute walk up from the quay to visit this church, But, the views of the town and the sea are quite spectacular.

The prayers of Portofino's fishermen have echoed here for centuries. The church is on a high hill overlooking the small port below. There is an interesting wall of dedications on the outside wall... one dedication mentions the inventor, Marconi, who was able to transmit a radio signal from a ship in the harbor to the Sydney World's Fair in 1930.... Sadly the interior is very run down and needs restoration. Although the Church is very pretty and the views of the Marina of Portofino are amazing
