Lovely city with lots of great things to do and excellent restaurants to meet anybody's budget. All within walking distance. Portofino and rappalo minutes away by bus, train or ferry.

Santa Margherita is the typical ligurian city but it's still an unknown jewel of the landscape because people go straight to Portofino and don't take time to enjoy santa Margherita!!!, do it!

What's not to like in this beautiful town on the Italian Riviera? Beautiful landscaping, classy architecture, happy people and of course love the red carpet.

We had a car and found that very easy but spoke to people who used the train and they loved it? If you have the time then suggest train as you get to see more and no worries of parking?!

We went on honeymoon it's very traditional and quieter which is why we loved it. I would chose more city or coastal
