The building commanda by its austerity. Romanesque-Lombard ~ 11-12th centuries. Mosaics reminiscent of a Ravenna quality. Foppa 15th c.atributed triptych and work by Perugino too and size-content elevation in finest poise. The church is not characterised by relief or other material profusion. An example of...More

This church is worth a minute as it is clear Medieval, dating back to the 1200s. There are several icons and wall frescoes that are clearly Medieval. Great altar.

Beautiful little church, unassuming from the outside, exceptional mosaic work inside. I’m not necessarily a church lover but this was worth it.

Unusual church relaxing the typical limestone interior with granite. Wonderful mosaics and a gorgeous alter backdrop.

Well worth popping into if you have made the climb to the top of Bellagio. Although it doesn't look too impressive on the outside, the interior is lovely and a quiet place to reflect. There are several shops and cafes nearby, as well as a...More

On the day that we visited Bellagio there wasn't very much open, so we decided to kill some time and look around the church. If you like old churches then this is definitely for you. However, it was quite bare inside and there wasn't really...More

Basilica San Giacomo is on top of Bellagio. It is more impressive on the inside. Beautifully decorated on the inside. Outside there are many cafes and shops in the area

Nice little local church in the heart of the village square. Does not look much from the outside , very plain but once through the doors your be surprised by the beauty.

This is an old church dating back a thousand years with stained glass and all and is located at the main square. Worth a visit.

Not certain, we were there mid day. As with most Catholic Churches, they post a sign listing the hours they are open along with Mass times.

The only photo I have of the altar is the one which I have already put on TripAdvisor. Not sure if that's any good. I do not have one from the back of the church, sorry.
