This does not look much from the outside but well worth visiting. A welcome rest from the sun, and don't forget to leave a much needed donation. Nice little gift shop on the way out.

In the centrepoint of town of Como, this building is a massive reminder of the great time in past. By the time we were around it was closed, but still it was very impressive.

Beautiful architecture on the outside, and elegant on the inside. Pay the modest 1 euro fee and take your time wandering throughout this lovely cathedral. Many paintings, tapestries, sculptures, and incredible ceiling to enjoy.

Although we didnt go inside, we spent along time looking at the building. The archtecture is superb, with many sculptures and carvings. A masterpiece.

This is a really nice cathedral and is the must see site in Como. Sadly, there are not many things to see here esp. on a foggy day. The cathedral is under 5 mins' walk from the harbour so can't be missed.

Let's be honest, it's easy to get a bit 'duomoed out' in Italy isn't it! All that stunning art and architecture starts to blur after a while, and then there's the religious nuttiness and sheer hypocrisy of the whole catholicism thing to feel conflicted about!...More

Lovely Old Cathedral in the heart of Como. It is absolutely huge with a beautiful ornate facade with high green topped domes. The entrance arch is particularly beautiful. Inside is cavernous with high vaulted ceilings and beautiful windows. The altar is especially imoressive and the...More

The tourist entrance is used when the Duomo is in Service so non-participating guests will not interrupt the religious program.
