Lauren was working the day we visited. She was delightful! She offered insights into the stories behind the exhibits and offered a few momentos to bring home to remember Fort Simpson by. I just know she will be an influential force on her community.
Lots of stuff there but nothing really for sale; like native crafts. It has a museum section with quite a lot of info on some of the people in rug region and what they do for work and play. Lots of info and brochures on...More
We stopped in here during our stop in Fort Simpson and asked some questions about the area and they were very informative. It was worth the time to stop. Also they have public washrooms here which is a nice thing.
A good introduction to the culture, the region, the history, the impact of the people, and the rivers. This touches on a bit of many aspects/things, all in one room. 30 minutes is plenty of time to see it.
