Amazing!,
This shop has the most extensive collection of wine and balsamic I’ve ever seen! We went to a tasting event there and were served titbits of bread with various oils and balsamic and various wines. It was incredible, a “must do” if you get the chance. It is so worth a visit.

There all sorts of herbs, dried foods and oils with infusions, and sweet treats on offer as well as information about the wines, some of which are very special and some are very old.
The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. I believe it is a family owned business, it’s always good to support these businesses

We will certainly pop in again when we return to Stresa next summer.

An amazing shop- typical of old style shops that one finds in the Med- dying breed in the UK.
Full of all kinds of lovely products including nice wine.
Might be a bit pricey but you pay for the service.

Beatrice was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and provided an educational tasting. The other products looked great as well. We bought some wines and we would go back. It's rare to find such a charming shop with great selection of products.

Visited as part of a walking tour with the rep. Excellent, knowledgeable staff, really interesting talk and tasting. Went back later to buy stuff to bring back. The only thing missing was a printed sheet with the delicious sounding recipes and tips!

We had a bad experience in this shop. The seller screwed up us, she gave the change back wrong and she tried to do it twice! The sellers seems friendly but take care of your money!!

La Cambusa is a wonderful wine and deli in the centre of Stresa, nestled on one of the alleyways behind the main street.

Rosaria has been running this deceptively large shop for over 50 years and is still going strong. An amazing selection of fine wines and spirits is available, along with ‘speciality foods' like capers, olives, spices, biscuits and a vast array of other local deli foods.

What we received was old fashioned personal service, with expert recommendations which try to best meet our requirements. We were also told that Rosaria does wine tasting for groups of visitors.

We very much enjoyed popping in here and highly recommend a visit here to get the best of Italian wine and traditional Italian service.

Great place to stop by and taste lots of different wines by lots of different producers! I emailed the owner (Reuben) before my visit and he had arranged for a tasting of 10 wines (3 white, 7 red) along with some snacks! Great place in the back that would work great for group visits!

We have been buying wine here for a number of years while visiting Stresa. Wonderful selections from all over Italy. Owners are so very knowledgeable of Italian wine. Really fun store.

My Mrs. & I recently vacationed here for over a week with a Tour group. We decided not to do the all day Saturday Tour of Milan having already spent several days there on anther Trip. Besides, having "day off" seemed like a good idea for leisurely day especially after the fabulous dinner and evening before.

So late morning, we self indulged with a fabulous Gelato and decided it was too rich to then have lunch. So we went to the for-normal-local -residents grocery Store, a Carrefours, and bought some Bread, Gorgonzola Cheese, Crackers, Prosciutto, Cappola etc. All we needed was some wine for our lake-view Balcony picnic. We had already visited La Cambusa- now it was time to rerun and see what the Owner, Rosaria recommended- she having owned this delightful Store for over 53 years.

She recommended a lovely local small vintage Dolcettta (great with the Cheese), and even loaned us two nice Wine Glasses (which we were sure to return the next day...washed). She was lovely, spent a fair amount of time with us explaining anything of interest (including her dried pasta's). Shen even made sure we were aware of the daily late afternoon wine tastings we unfortunately missed.

But her store is excellent, and she is a delightful and friendly woman who revels in the soft sale approach and how to be subtle in marketing her store and values.

Visit her and her adult Children helping to run the place. She's terrific, friendly and will be a lovely memory for along time.
