Amazing theater. If you are in Mantua, this is a do not miss location. We were on a walking tour and the guide mentioned as a side-note that "down this road is the theater that Mozart played at when he was 13." All we needed to hear to jump ship and head to the theater. It was about 3 euro to enter and we were the only people there. We were able to wander around and sit in the theater and just imagine it filled with music. It is stunning and calm. What an experience we had. Highly recommend to find this hidden gem.

At the beginning of 1720, the young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart gave a memorable concert here.
Today the theatre is a venue for concerts, music contests, and conferences.

Completely stunning and well worth the 3 euro entry fee. Such a calm and beautiful space. Limited access to the upper tiers but didn’t detract.

Really disappointed that owing to a three day conference on diabetes taking place inside, we could not visit the theatre during the available time we had. The tourist information office did not explain this when we bought our Mantova Card (but it was still good value).

It blows your mind! Many famous musicians wanted to perform in this theater back in time and I guess also on the modern days.
Imagine how can an artist feel playing in a Teatro like that...!

The theatre is a delight! You are instantly transported to previous to the 17th or 18th hundreds and can imagine the local noble and towns people in their robes in the seats. The acoustics is excellent. And even in mid-August we were almost alone in it, so one of our group could test his singing voice on stage. Worth a visit for just 2 EUR for the entry ticket.

Low entry fee, great building, intriguing to think it has been here so long with so many performances so an excellent diversion for a short visit while enjoying a wander through Mantua.

It is one of the must see places in Mantova. The theater is small but beautiful. The fact that Mozart played here when he was 13 gives it more significance.

We stopped in to see this famous theater. We were not offered a tour - just a brochure that was in English. We sat in the theater for less than 10 minutes. It was exciting to be in a spot where Mozart had performed.

I'm trying to find out if there are concerts in October 2018 and if so how to get tickets.
The Teatro Bibienaq site seems unhelpful in this regard. And help?

No, ma non è necessario. E' un teatro piccolissimo, lo si abbraccia tutto con uno sguardo e i palchi, tranne due, sono chiusi. Ma merita, è di una bellezza incredibile!
