This company offers several interesting boat tours from the Naviglio Grande along the two navigable canals around Milan incl. the Naviglio Pavese. We took the simple 50 min. boat ride for 14 euros that only navigates the Navliglio Grande past the cafes, restaurants, shops & stalls leading towards the 13th C. Romanesque/Gothic style twin church w/ bell tower and the... More

Maybe it's different in summer, but at the end of November, I wouldn't label this as "must see". It's an ok canal area with plenty of places to eat & drink. We enjoyed good pizza and gelato. Venice it is not! **Please note that the location is south of city centre. Not to the north as currently shown. We ended... More

We wandered around here on a lovely Friday night in Milan. It was such a neat little area, and so pretty to see as the sun set. However, it was very crowded and you wanted to be careful holding on to your purse. Also, the restaurants along the canals were overpriced for the food they were offering. We wound up... More

The water in these canals stinks (especially during summer). The whole area is not taken care of, and the nightlife is rather cheap (read pathetic). Definitely not worth a visit.

The area there is very particular and full of pubs and restaurants. I liked it a lot...but unfortunately there were a lot of mosquitos.

Staying in Bicocca

Neighbourhood Profile
Bicocca
Although Bicocca is a peripheral district, many visitors will find it appealing. The district is enveloped by the immense Parco Nord (North Park), one of the largest parks in Europe. Inside is the theater Arcimboldi, one of the most important contemporary theaters where concerts and shows are organized. In the same area, there is the University of Milan Bicocca, whose distinct architecture rivals a movie set. Coffee shops, a multiplex and a shopping center are in the campus, along with the Fondazione Hangar Bicocca, one of the most famous museums of Contemporary Art.
