Buzzing atmosphere with lots to see & buy

Central Galleria is a must to visit whilst you are in Milan. So much to see & buy. You can stop & have lunch or a coffee & cake. Perfect if it's raining too.

The Galleria is just somewhere that you have to see. It's breathtaking! Apart from the obvious - the gorgeous architecture - there are lots of high-end shops and other mid-range shops to browse through. However, beware of the jostle of shoppers. My kids got elbowed in the temple accidentally! There are also pedlars accosting you to buy their trinkets and... More

As a shopper myself I absolutely loved visiting here. The old fashioned building was bustling with shops and old fashioned Italian restaurants which was just what we wanted from this trip. Definatly worth a visit and a great place to stop for lunch and cocktails.

Visually stunning, and the people-watching is free! There's a great bookstore underneath accessed from the mall. The windows of the designer stores cannot be beat.

Beautiful "mall" with all the shops you'll never be able to affors to shop in (from Prada to Versace). Still worth a visit because of its pretty architecture. Nice bookshop at the exit to the Scala theatre-including arty books and English books.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
