I suppose I could have done some more research on the museum, the villa and Gian Giacomo (the Mr Poldi Pezzoli). However, even with the audio guide, what could have been a ver interesting two hours became somewhat tiresome. But before I explain why: the employees were all very friendly and helpful and after saying hello in Italian and asking... More

This house is one of the four historic house museums which make up the Milan Historic House Museums Network. All except Casa Museo Boschi Di Stephano have admission charges but you can buy a combined visit card at the other three which will save you at least €12.00. This is one of the few Milan museums open on a Monday.... More

It's certainly worth the visit and to spend a rainy hour or two inside looking around. Only one of the rooms was still preserved and the others are just renovated which takes away the authenticity of it a little.

Being a first time visitor to Milan, we didn't realize that many of the major attractions are closed on Monday. The Museo Poldi Pezzoli was open, and what a find. If you like medieval art don't miss it. No queues, no rush, and just the right size. There are bigger collections in Milan (Pinacoteca di Brera, Sforza Castle) but you... More

I was sincerely grateful to Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli for gathering such an amazing private collection of true treasures. There's so much to see for those museum-lovers. Amazing, stunning collection of artifacts. Milano card gives nice 10% discount for a visit. Though is it stated as one of the "Free visit" museums, I was told that people Q up early... More

A lovely building, though badly damaged in the war. Delightfully displayed and diverse collection. I particularly loved the excellent clock and watch room - some breathtakingly beautiful little pieces in there.

We thought that a 'house museum' would show us a what the house of a noble looked like. It is actually a house that has been converted into a museum. Only 1 room was truly preserved. However, the collections of armory, clocks, sundials and compasses were terrific.

what is interesting is the palazzo architecture. it is a varied presentation of some very nice objects and paintings, rugs, but most not spectacular. worth visiting if you are in the area.

Located in the Via Manzoni and easy to get there. Beautiful house full of treasures collected by Pezzoli and left to the city by him. The house was bombed during the war and bit by bit they have restored it. You can see old photographs of the rooms with a short description of how it was. They have saved some... More

We noticed it last year and this year decided to go in and are so glad we did. It is the former home of a gentleman who collected magnificent art and items. You get a good picture into 19th century Milan wealth There truly significant Renaissance and Baroque paintings and sculptures and several large rooms of them on 3 floors.... More

The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
