Description:

Our red open top double-decker buses have already become part of the city...

Our red open top double-decker buses have already become part of the city of Milan and they are becoming more and more appreciated by tourists from all over the world and by those people who want to know Milan from a different perspective, without having to cope with the hectic pace of this metropolis.

3 lines, 5 buses and a commentary in 8 languages are the necessary ingredients to explore the city and visit its most popular attractions and places of interest: The Sforza Castle, Sant’Ambrogio Cathedral, Parco delle Basiliche and Leonardo’s Navigli area. You can take a ride on a boat tour for a mini-cruise and discover the canals. Then our bus takes you to the Duomo, Milan’s most famous landmark, and you can see the Golden Madonnina perched on top of the tallest spire; then you reach the Scala Opera House. The blue line reaches the new skyscrapers area and takes tourists around the luxury shopping area in the core of the fashion district which attracts visitors from all over the world, also the most demanding ones.

Concept is standard and price 24h as well. However, I know the touristic bus service from this same company from London and New York, where service is excellent (similar price per day as in Milan) and buses are running at 15-20 min frequency, which allows mostly always to sit at the upper floor of the bus. In Milan frequencies are... More

At 22 euros each you are able to do all 3 routes in one day, if you start early! Tour guide on buses spoke english, and warned when you could swap routes and when last bus on each route was. Good clear guidance recording, and as some routes still had the lids on the buses it wasnt too cold, although... More

I have used this service in a number of countries and this one has been the most disappointing. Yes it provides a way to see the city however the Milan group appears a little disorganised as you will find yourself waiting and waiting at times. There are no late tours which would have given you night views of the city.... More

Not my favorite branch of the city sightseeing group that I have utilized. The timekeeping of the buses leaves a lot to be desired, this morning we arrived at the stop (bus due in 24 minutes according to electronic sign - 20 minutes later it was due in 25 minutes, work that one out). The wait at most stops was... More

A standard city sightseeing tour. Buses were modern and the headphones worked (most of the time). Staff on board were ok. Routes were grand but only use the red route if you want to go to san siro. As you would expect it does get very busy and the times the buses are due to start and finish are not... More

Seriously bad experience - the driver of the bus was on his mobile phone chatting for the entire journey - Line C green route. The hostess was also involved in the phone calls, which appeared to be either a video call or Facetime. The hostess participated in these calls with the driver for the majority of the journey. We counted... More

Headphones with commentary in English. 3 different routes (we did red and blue) Timetable given on the map, but beware as the buses did not stick that accurately to the published times. Disabled rate was half price for disabled and companion but had to ask. Booked at the visitor centre.

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
