Welcome to the Museum of the Cathedral, a symbol of Milan all over the world. The Museum's 26 exhibition rooms house the works of art originally from both the Duomo and from the historic storerooms of Veneranda Fabbrica, now organised chronologically to illustrate all the construction stages of the Cathedral, from its foundation in 1386 right through to the 20th century.

Very informative museum about the statues that adorned the terraces. Unfortunately most of the information is in Italian so more than a little knowledge of the language is required.

I like museums that give me a quick overview of one thing as this one does. It features sample models of some of the sculptures on the cathedral itself. As gave insight into how the work was done. Quick and informative. Not much English signage...More

once at Duomo Cathedral, it´s nice to visit the Duomo museum. A lot of important info /history about the place. it´s necessary to buy a ticket and there are big lines but also machines where you could buy them by yourself.

The museum is right beside the Duomo and contains a lot of original statues and figurines as they restore the cathedral. Admission was included as part of the Pass A (16 euros per pax). It's quite big to walk through and not very crowded. As...More

This is a fabulous museum and has fabulous history, tapestries and hundreds of old objects to see. It is not all religious stuff. You also get to see the san Gottardo church which has some fabulous old frescos

Having been disappointed by our visit to the cathedral itself we did not have high hopes of the museum, which is included in the entry fee, but in fact we found it much bigger than we expected and full of interest. Unlike the duomo itself,...More

The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square
is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon
of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds
to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria
Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high
quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch
expedition into a royal experience. Head to the
