The castle itself is interesting but the city museums are even more interesting and they're all huge, so go there with enough time to enjoy them. It was a very good surprise.

The moat is filled with feral cats, the museum is an important one. Italian design across the centuries. The Michelangelo pieta is soulful. I remember my first visit and am surprised at how many others do not put this on their itinerary.

We really enjoyed visiting the castle and the lack of crowds/queues was a welcome relief having visited the Duomo the previous day. Definitely recommend a stroll through the park to observe the Arch nearby.

Hello. Nope, I didn't see any. I think it will be better if you can leave it in the hotel or in the train stn. If you are looking to get the bus tour, you may ask the guide.

No fee for entering the Castle and looking around. Fees only for specific museums. If you are a casual visitor, you can decide whether you want see the paid museums after you enter the castle. If you are an avid history... More

Hi there! The cloakroom closes when the museum does as it is inside the museum and they lock it up. Have a great trip!
