There are two guys who work on this attraction. One stay always at the bottom, and second escorts visitors to the top. When I came to this tower I was asked by guy #1 to wait 5-10 minutes until previous visitors return from top. elevator returned with guy #2 who escorted visitors on top of the tower. Guy #2 disappeared... More

Discovered tower by chance while wandering around Simplon Park Empty we thought it was closed. Walk in and discovered two slightly dour guys there. Paid I think €10 for both of us and up we went over 100m. The guy who took us up explained that the tower was built by Mussolini. Once we got talking he was brilliant and... More

We'd hope you could walk up all the steps for some extra exercise, but unfortunately you have to use an elevator. The views are good and although the experience is a bit regimented as they only take groups up to 6 up/down at a time, I recommend it.

I would thoroughly recommend that anyone in this area makes the effort to visit Parc Sempione and the Torre. To get to the top there is a short ride in a lift costing €5 each but it is worth every cent. The views over Milan and its suburbs are wonderful but you do need a clear day. For the football... We stumbled on the tower in the park and decided to take a trip up in the elevator (approx 5 euros) so glad we did this. The viewing platform is enclosed and only small, so normally only 5 minutes allowed to take pictures. Myself and husband were the only two viewing early evening and the guide was happy to point... This is something like The Eiffel tower for Milan! You can see the whole city and as it was our last stop it seemed to be quite good summary of what we saw in our two days in Milan.

How this is not higher on TA is a mystery to me. The views on a clear day all over Milan are breathtaking. Although you get limited time at the top, there are only a few per group so you can see everything and take photos. For people who enjoy views this is a must.

The tower is very high and well located. It is half the price of the Duomo rooftops and provides better views. You can see the entire city, from the Stadium, the modern district, to the Duomo and all the other points of interest. The top room is accessible via an elevator and visits involve small groups of 5-10 people at... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
