This church is unique in that the nuns that lived in this convent were enclosed from the world and not allowed to have any contact. This meant that the church is divided with the nuns participating in the mass (singing) from behind a partial wall. Walk around the church admiring the fresco's but notice the difference in style between the... More

By far one of the most valued experience for visitors to Milan and non-visitors alike. This last supper painting, being one of the most well known paintings of all times, must be seen in person. Be aware that the museum only accepts limited number of visitors per day. You must book online first in order not to be disappointed. Several... More

One of the most beautiful church interiors I have every seen, truly breathtaking. My parents had just been in Milan a month before me and insisted that I check it out, boy am I glad I did.

The church is colloquially called Sistine chapel of Milan for a good reason. IT has amazing interior with beautiful paintings, old organ from XVI century and original wooden chairs. I am puzzled how this thing is not highlighted as a premium attraction.

Is a special place, not too much frequented by tourists and full of masterpieces by the school of Leonardo Da Vinci painters. You can admire the incredible roof. Is located in the same area of 'Last supper" and "Vineyard of Leonardo".

This is a must see. An unassuming church front but a breathtaking interior! We saw this as part of a tour which was very interesting as we managed to go at a quiet time. Highly recommend.

From the outside it doesn´t have such an impressive character, but the paintings inside and the atmosphere were very surprising. One of the most impressive interiors of churches I have seen so far.

The Duomo is Milan's most beautiful church by exterior, but he has a competitor for the most beautiful church by interior: San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, a former nunnery! Behind a virtually nonexistence facade, San Maurizio hides perhaps one of the most ornate church interiors and can actually compete with the famous Sistine Chapel. From the moment you step in... This is Milan. Any time you get the chance to "come in" you discover amazing places and get puzzled about the beauty and the elegance of the places. if you decided to come to visit the city, I'll suggest this place among lots of Others, as a must-visit place.

Absolutely charming. The frescoes have been thoroughly cleaned and are amazingly bright. A charming church indeed.

The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
