A huge park surrounded by castle and musems, Parco Sempione offers fresh air, serenity and relaxation. There are an area for kids entertainment, a small lake with ducks and ducklings, plenty of benches as well as spread out kiosks selling sandwiches and drinks. We feel a sense of peace strolling through its area. A perfect place to have a break... More

If you have seen one park, you've seen them all. Grass. Trees. Water. People. I walked around a little and quickly lost interest.

The park is most popular among both locals and tourists. Particularly in fine weather when milanesi give themselves to their favorite activity, laying on the grass :). Try it. Taking a promenade between Castello Sforzesco and Arco della pace should be also a brilliant idea to understand Milan. Don't forget Torre Branca too. Although it's rather complicated task to find... I visited Milan in spring and the park was just amazing... the weather was very warm and you could lay on the grass and enjoy the sun... some people were sunbathing! Also there was a cafe where you could take a coffee !

We spent three days in Milan and enjoyed our visit to Sempione Park. It is a full day adventure if you want to visit the castle and the various museums in the area. There are a number that f small lakes to keep you cool and on a warm day it's a great people watch place. The locals are very... More

You should visit the park after you visit the Castle (Castello Sforzesco) nearby. You can walk, have a picnic or my suggestion is to run some kilometers!!

I happened to stumble upon the park after walking to the Castello Sforzesco. I enjoyed strolling along the outer loop of the park and seeing the sights. The park is framed on all four sides by a 'major' attraction: the Castello Sforzesco, the Civic Auditorium, the Arc della Pace, and the Triennale museum. In one section, I watched young men... More

I only came here because it's free and i had a few hours to kill but it's a really beautiful park. My personal favourite spot was the small lake with the entrance to the park behind you and the arch ahead. I sat there for a good hour or so looking at the fish and terrapins. Very peaceful.

My friends and I went for a walk around this park and really enjoyed the atmosphere. There are lots of interesting things to see, like bands playing, little bridges and of course the castle. Definitely worth a visit.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
