A lovely park right in the centre of Milan. I have been several times now and have always enjoyed it. There are a couple of little wagons selling ice cream, cold drinks etc. it's nice to sit or just lie on a park bench in the shade and relax. It is a favourite with the Milanese who spend quality family... More

We walked through Parco Sempione as we were on our way to see 'The Arch of Peace'. It was beautiful to see people picnicing and relaxing in this beautiful, well maintained park. Worth a visit.

Yes, It is a park, with things you would expect to see in a park. Benches, trees, grass a pond full of turtles. Yep. It is a lovely place, peaceful and beautiful. Really nice for a walk or just to lie on the grass.

A great place to relax under the trees. It's the green park of Milan, many people come here to jog, spend the lunch break, play soccer, bike, or simply listen or watch street artists. You can also find some bar, in the middle of it (like Bar Bianco)

City park as it should be - green, clean, well-maintained and quiet, with a lot of space. Don't forget about pond and castle view.

My boyfriend and I spent the morning visiting the castle museums then had a picnic and read our books in the park in the afternoon. There are plenty of trees and benches in the shade - perfect for a little snooze at the hottest part of the day. Do remember to pack mosquito spray though, I got bitten a fair... More

A large park bookended by a castle and an arch -- so, nice photos! There are a few bars along the edges, a duck pond in the middle and a stage somewhere too. Average big city park.

This is a beautiful park with nice wide walking paths, grand trees, duck, turtle and fish filled ponds, and bracketed by two monuments worth seeing. First the Arco Sempione is on one end. The Arco is grand and impressive although smaller than the Arc de Triompfe in Paris it is quite beautiful. Second bracketing the other end of the park... More

I walked through the Park one early morning and loved it. I began at the Arch and walked toward the Castle. The Park was wet and sunny filled with joggers, yoga enthusiasts and dog walkers. There was some modern art as well as sculpted garden areas. Beautiful stroll!

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
