This is the place to go if you want to immerse yourself in nature with walks in quiet solitude, enchanting villages, warm people and good food. It's a place were you can unwind and let off all the stress that you accumulate through out the year! I consider this place as a taste of heaven on earth!!!!

I always spent days and weeks here. There is always something new to see or under a different view. One of the best Italian National Park.

This place wasn't included in our original plan since we were staying in Italy for 5 days only during the Christmas holidays and thankgod we didn't miss it. I have to point out that it was very hard to find information about the place other than private companies who are marketing for their camping/hiking tours, which was annoying. So hopefully... More

Just across the Hotel Miramonti where we stayed, there was a beautiful valley. I spotted a walking path leading into the valley and wanted to see where it would take me. Some friends and I ventured along the path and discovered natural beauty, waterfalls, camping grounds and picturesque views of this remarkable park. The path, while clearly marked, sometimes became... More

Visit the park in may 2016. Start from Lillaz. The tracks can be anything from two hours total and up to some really challenging full day tracks. We walked in the valleys and it was amazing. Highly recommended!!

Start your trips from Cogne or Lillaz. The hikes can be anything from two hours total and upto some really challenging full day trips. We walked in the valleys from the two villages and it was amazing. Highly recommended!! Can be done without hiking boots but it's easier with boots.

We did several walks in the different valleys (Valsigrenche, Valsavarenche, Cogne) and they were fantastic witohout exception. Lillaz waterfalls - beautiful waterfalls and although the hike is steep there is also a track in the valley suitable for the less able. Pont - Valsavarenche - We did route number 3 from Pont to the hut (a hike of about 2.5-3... More

Beautiful nature, lots of great mountain views and a great variety of hiking trails with clear but not disturbing signs and markings.

Visited Gran Paradiso National Park in May 2016, near Valsaverenche for work, and travelled a bit around. The park is ideal if you want to see Ibex (very easy to see) and Chamois. It's perfect for walks and the scenery is truly stunning. Truly recommended.
