We visited this museum on a rainy day. The ticket included the Baptistry which is close by. The museum is the palace of the bishops, so there were lots of portraits of the bishops over the centuries. I liked the beautiful metalwork in gold and silver on display in a side room.The bathrooms were very clean and modern.

We were directed to this museum by the caretaker in the Baptistery across the square, and discovered not only a beautiful palace but a small exhibition with three Donatello crucifixion sculptures in. This is only there for the Summer and is absolutely breathtaking and so moving. We were the only two people there at a Saturday lunchtime, and if you... More

This is worth visiting for the main salon alone, but there are also some beautifully illustrated manuscripts and other artefacts to admire in the main museum. There was also an exhibition of modern art at the time we visited, which was a complete contrast. A leaflet in English would have been helpful but I suppose we just need to learn... More

My wife and I had just left the Padova Duomo when we noticed the sign for the Museo Diocesano d Padova. We when in, paid a small fee, and were given a private tour of the beautiful Bishops Palace. The main hall is spectacular with paintings of all the pass bishops on the walls. It reminded us of the Palace... More
