My family's entire visit to Padua revolved around seeing St. Anthony's Basilica and we were not disappointed. They have many masses throughout the day so if you're hoping to catch a short daily mass odds are good that you'll be able to do so during your visit. They have a great Webcam inside and my family in the US was... More

Popped in during morning mass - beautiful! A small but dedicated congregation (everything was in Italian). It's an imposing landmark and has helped us orientate as we are staying in Hotel del Pellegrino (recommended), right there next to the Basilica.

What an incredible cathedral- I was able to experience it both as an attendee of Mass and also toured a bit afterwards with my husband and family. There are several relics within the building, the architecture is beautiful, and it has incredible intricate designs. The Mass was beautiful as well, even though I only understood a little bit (My husband... More

Visited several times, once as a tourist, more times just to witness the popularity of this Basilica as a place of worship. The tomb of St Antony is set to the left side of the Basilica, and believers touch the purple slab to the rear of the tomb, or place both hand palms according to their own practice or need.... More

Graet cathedral with a huge nave lavishly decorated. St Antony is buried there. It was a bit embarrassing when I approached his tomb from the opposite direction as people form a line to pray there and the entry point is clearly marked

when you come to Padua this is a mandatory stop. Pilgrims from all over the world come here - on June the 13th (St.Anthony feast) the entire city stops for the number of visitors.

The church is a walking distance from the downtown. Inside is very beautiful like many churches in Padova/Italy.
