Amazing Botanical Garden

Even in March this botanical garden is one of the incredible gems of the gardening world. Everything about it is sheer perfection.

I was convinced to visit it because it was declared UNESCO's World Heritage in 1997, but I was quite disappointed because the flora in the outside was almost "dead" , not beautifull at all and the water ponds were dirty; thats why I believe in winter season is overpriced . Nevertheless the Green House is very nice and full of... More

The Orto Botanico and the new Orto Botanico are two places in Padua that evebodies must visit. With a sunny day every type of tree or flowers will be seen in a magnificent surrounding enviroment. The information center is very helpfull and people could spent hours inside having a guided tour, reading a book, eat something and being fascinated by... More

I visited this place November 2015*, and it's a lovely tourist attraction that you wouldn't immediately think of in this city. I was lucky with absolutely beautiful weather conditions and as I went on a weekday it was quite empty, but filled with fantastic and exotic greenery! I really enjoyed my visit, particularly the outdoors part, and would definitely recommend... More

The walled old garden is only small but stunning. Equally the ultra modern glass houses are excellent. The visitors centre is informative and staff friendly. A little on the prices side for a garden but worth it. I made a special trip from Bologna to see it and was not disappointed.

We visited the place in autumn, consequently not much to see outdoors. Liked the greenhouse and the indoor exhibition on the tropical climate. Would love to return in summer to see the medicinal herbs garden in full bloom and scents. Quite expensive, but we liked it.

Included in top ten botanical gardens in the world and we now understand why. It also claims to be the oldest in the world. Don't be put off by €10 entry fee. It is well worth the money. Only disappointing aspect is the fogs at this time of year. Would love to visit again in spring. The bio diversity area... More

I love the Botanical Gardens but think it would benefit from a tiered pricing structure. It's 10 euros to enter which gives full entrance to the gardens and glasshouses. Perhaps split this so one ticket is for access to the outside and another to include the glasshouses. It's great to walk round the outside area for an hour and the... More

My wife and I were traveling with AHS the American Horticulture Society. This garden was fantastic and a real surprise. It is well documented and is presented real well. We just wish we had more time to review look at and investigate. Since tours have to keep on schedule, we were not afforded nearly enough time. Maybe another time when... More
